Chesterfield centre-half joins the U's
Oxford United have competed the signing of defender Charlie Raglan on loan until January.
After growing up in Tenerife the 23-year-old centre-half began his career with Port Vale before spells at Hinckley United on loan, Nantwich Town and FC United of Manchester.
His impressive form saw him sign for Chesterfield in 2014, making 25 appearances as the Spireites reached the League 1 play-offs. In total he has played 38 times for Chesterfield, including the first game of this season against the U’s.
Head Coach Michael Appleton said:
“He’s an experienced defender; decent size, uses the ball well but wants to defend first and foremost.
“We were looking for someone to cover us at centre-half with Curtis Nelson, Aaron Martin and Joe Skarz all struggling right now and he fits the bill perfectly. He will travel down tonight, train with us tomorrow and be in the squad for the home game against Rochdale on Saturday.”
