Winger Emily Allen is all set for this weekend’s FA Cup tie as Oxford United Women welcome Cambridge United Women to Court Place Farm on Sunday.
For United’s players who experienced a disappointing early exit from the coipition it’s a chance to set the record straight in the competition and continue their recent for that has seen them win four out for their last five matches
“We’re really looking forward to this one. Obviously last season we went out pretty early so we’re looking to right that wrong and get back out on the pitch and hopefully progress to the next round.”
“We’re confident. We’ve been working hard at training and I think that’s been showing on the pitch. We’ve scored a fair few goals so hopefully we can carry that into Sunday.”
The U’s good form is helped by goals coming from players across the side. Allen is one of fifteen players to have scored for United across all competitions this season.
“I’ll definitely be looking to try to add to my tally personally, but also across the board we’ve got scorers from everywhere so it’s really nice to see it’s not just one or two running away with it, everyone’s chipping in.”
Kick off is at 2pm at Oxford City's Court Place Farm and tickets are available on the gate at just £5 for adults, £2 concessions and free for under 16's.
