Oxford United are pleased to announce an expansion to our Academy Regional Training Centre in Bicester for the new year.
After a successful first five months, this partnership centre with the Junior Premier League will see sessions running on a Monday night at the impressive Whitelands Farm Facility for 6-10 year olds and will compliment the existing provision for older age groups already based on site.
Academy Manager, Dan Harris outlines how this centre fits in to the club's strategic plan for the future:
"Our partnership with the JPL over recent months has been a great success and has enabled us to strengthen relationships with clubs in the Bicester area. These sessions have meant we're able to support the great work already being done across the footballing landscape in the North of our County and, by opening these sessions up to younger age groups, our hope is that we can continue to provide Academy level coaching and provision for aspiring young players in the Bicester area.
"In addition to the existing work being done by the club's community programme, and with the exciting plans at the new training ground taking shape, our aim as a club is to ensure that every young player across our region has the opportunity to come into positive contact with our badge, our players and our values over the coming months and years."
Anyone interested in getting involved in the sessions at Bicester as a player, coach, physio or analyst should contact Gareth Hamer on northoxfordshirertc@junior-premier.co.uk
