Oxford United U18s made it ten league wins in a row as they beat Portsmouth 3-0 to go top of the league.

An opening goal from Leo Snowden was added to by a Jack Lee penalty in the first half and another goal from Lee following an excellent team move to seal the points in the second hald.

There was just the one change for the U’s this weekend, with Mubarak Abolade coming in for Mo Missanga and a return from injury for Charlie Cramond, who was included on the bench.

Snowden opened the scoring with a beauty, picking up the ball from Calum Doyle before hitting a shot that curled away from the keeper and nestled into the back of the net.

Abolade then came inches away from doubling the lead after a clever touch from Lee sent him through.

Lee then won a penalty on the brink off half time after taking the ball round the keeper, forcing a last-ditch foul from the Pompey shot stopper. Lee stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way, making it 2-0 as we headed into the break.

Lee made it 3-0 to pass the 20-goal mark for the season. The number nine finished off an excellent move from the Yellows, starting all the way back in their own half. Josh Holton delivered a pin-point cross which was met by Lee's diving header at the back post.

The win extends an unbelievable streak for the U18s, and with Luton losing 3-1 at home to Leyton Orient, it means they move to the top of the league for the first time this season.
