United visited Forest Green Rovers on Saturday and won the game with goals from Harrison Bradney, Charlie Cramond and Jack Lee to win 3-2.

It was a rotated side for the young U’s this weekend to face Forest Green Rovers, with in-form Leo Snowden and Jack Lee getting a rest on the bench.

It was a positive start from the Yellows, creating a number of early chances, however none were able to really challenge the Forest Green keeper.

The U’s dominated the first half, maintaining control for the majority of the 45 minutes and headed into the break feeling like they should have had an opener.

The opener did eventually come from Bradney on the hour. The midfielder fired United into the lead with a well-hit half volley from the edge of the box to make it 1-0.

The lead was doubled five minutes later by Charlie Cramond who earned himself his first goal for the U18s. A pinpoint delivery from Bradney found Cramond at the back post and he timed his header perfectly to loop over the keeper and extend the lead.

The Greens got one back against the run of play and out of nowhere were back in it with nine minutes to go.

Lee then put the game to bed in injury time with a well-taken goal from the substitute. Josh Holton sent the number 9 through, and Lee did the rest, finishing it off emphatically.

The hosts made it 3-2 with a consolation goal right at the end.

The win makes it seven league wins in a row for the young U’s and takes them up to second in the league.
