PREVIEW: Oxford United vs Millwall

Millwall Tickets

Oxford United takes on Millwall at the Kassam Stadium this Saturday (12:30pm kick-off) looking to get back to winning ways after three consecutive defeats.

OXFORD UNITED

The U's will have Elliott Moore back in contention after he missed out at Sheffield United due to suspension. With Cameron Brannagan, Matt Phillips and Przemysław Płacheta all getting more minutes at Bramall Lane, the squad is beginning to resemble the one that started the season so brightly.

Płacheta told us: "I'm looking forward to the game, especially in front of our fans. I'm sure we will prepare for the game in the best way possible to win that game.

"Of course, it will be a tough game against Millwall. We know they are strong but we need to make sure we also concentrate on our task and on our game style."

MILLWALL

Millwall were due to have played at Portsmouth on Wednesday evening, but a power cut 10 minutes before kick-off led to the game ultimately getting postponed. Millwall took the opportunity to train on the Fratton Park pitch, with head coach Neil Harris saying: “We thank Portsmouth for allowing us to do it – a lot of clubs wouldn’t. We really appreciate that.

“It is bizarre, I have to start thinking straight away about Oxford. I won’t need to watch the game back, so that is one less game for me to watch in the morning! I can start looking at Oxford and a different challenge.

“There was no Duncan Watmore or Shaun Hutchinson tonight. Whether they have got a chance for the weekend we will have to see over the next 48 hours. It gives people an opportunity to get a little bit closer.”
