PREVIEW: Oxford United vs Derby County

Derby County

Oxford United welcome Derby County to the Kassam Stadium this evening (7:45pm kick-off) for the first home league game of the season under floodlights. With another large crowd guaranteed, the atmosphere under the lights is bound to be electric, so if you haven't already bought a ticket, make sure you do. But hurry, there are very few remaining.

OXFORD UNITED

United come into the game unbeaten at home and unbeaten in their last four Championship games. After Saturday's televised draw with West Bromwich Albion, Oxford will be full of confidence and, backed by another large, vociferous crowd, will be looking to make further progress this evening.

Speaking after the West Brom game, Oxford head coach Des Buckingham said: "This home form and these home results are going to be so important to where we want to finish at the end of the season and I've no doubt that on Tuesday night, when we kick off again, it will be another sell-out crowd. And if the fans get behind us, as I know they will the same way that they have done so far, we'll do our best to put ourselves in a position to give them something else to leave with happy on Tuesday night."

You can also watch former Derby player Louie Sibley (with a bit of help from Tyler Goodrham) preview the game HERE.

DERBY COUNTY

The visitors tonight will be without defender Ryan Nyambe after he took a knock in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Millwall. Midfielder Tawanda Chirewa will also be missing, but there is a chance that David Ozoh could feature after suffering a hamstring injury.

The Rams are yet to win on the road this season and they sit in 12th place in League One, level on points with United but with a worse goal difference.

TICKETS AND TRAVEL

There is a small number of tickets remaining but these are likely to go fast, so make sure you hurry if you want to get to tonight's game and haven't yet bought your ticket.
