It's Friday night football this week as United make the trip to Carrow Road to take on Norwich City (kick off 8:00pm).
The sides met on the opening day of the season, with Oxford winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Mark Harris and Cameron Brannagan. The last time the two teams met in Norfolk, the U's won 3-2 in November 1998, with Brian Wilsterman, Andy Thomson and Dean Windass on the scoresheet for the Yellows.
OXFORD UNITED
United were buoyed by the return of Ben Nelson to training this week, although Friday's game is too soon for the on-loan defender to return to action. There is no new updates on the rest of those currently side-lined.
Oxford will be hoping to take their second-half performance against Coventry City last Saturday into the game as goals from Ole Romeny and Elliott Moore almost secured a point for the U's.
NORWICH CITY
Under the management of Johannes Hoff Thorup, Norwich are 11th in the Championship and are just four points off the play-off places. They have lost just one of their last seven games in a run that includes 5-1 and 4-2 home wins against Swansea City and Stoke City.
They have been boosted by the return from injury of forward Josh Sargent, who has scored 11 goals so far this season, although the danger man is Borja Sainz, who is joint-top Championship scorer with 15. The Canaries are the division's second-top scorers at home, with 41 goals at Carrow Road.
