Mark Harris has been awarded for his outstanding form at the start of the Championship season by winning the Sky Bet EFL Player of the Month award in the league for August.
The U's striker has stepped up to the Championship and been the form striker in the EFL, scoring in each of the Club's first four games of the season.
His goals include that wonder strike at Ewood Park against Blackburn Rovers, which is already being lauded as one of the Club's greatest-ever goals.
Last season, Harris scored 19 goals to win promotion and incredibly has won back-to-back awards having earned the final League One Player of the Month award for last season, and now the first award of this season.
After 25 years outside of the Championship, Harris scored Oxford United's first goal back in the division in the opening-day win over Norwich City and he has continued that form in the next three fixtures.
His country has also noticed his performances, as this week he got his first cap for Wales in two years.
Speaking about the award, he said: "It's a really nice award. We have started the season off well as a team and as an individual, I have done the same.
"Awards like this are always great, but it's all about the team. I am going into every game full of confidence with the team playing well and hopefully, I can keep putting the goals away. "
Everyone at Oxford United would like to congratulate Mark for this award.
