PREVIEW | Bolton (a)

Oxford United travel to play-off rivals Bolton Wanderers at the Toughsheet Community Stadium tonight in Sky Bet League One (8pm).

With 9 league games to play, the U’s will look to earn back-to-back victories as the race for the play-offs continue following a late winner against Cheltenham Town on Saturday.

We wish the travelling Oxford United supporters a safe journey to Bolton this evening. Come on you Yellows!

TEAM NEWS

Tyler Goodrham is unavailable following a knock, but otherwise the U’s have a fully fit squad to deploy.

Manager Des Buckingham said

“We spoke about arriving at the final part of the season in a strong place and we still are in the league. We've got a fully fit squad to pick from now and you could see the importance of that on Saturday.”

Josh Murphy and Owen Dale were vital in the win over the Robins on the weekend, whilst Elliott Moore has been momentous since returning from injury.

THE OPPOSITION

The last time the two sides met, during Buckingham’s first home game in charge of the U’s, it ended in a very competitive 0-0 draw.

Bolton currently sit in third place in the Sky Bet League One table, but have only won twice in their last six, most recently drawing 2-2 away at Exeter.

Bolton Boss Ian Evatt said:

“It’s still very much in our hands, there aren’t many squads that have been able to cope with the level of injuries we’ve had.

“We’re hopeful that things are going to get a lot better for us and we can finish the season incredibly strongly. We’ve seen every team have ups and downs.

“We’ve conceded some poor goals and maybe let some results slip and slide away from us."
