Oxford United Women are delighted to confirm that the club have begun the process of recruiting a full-time First Team Manager.
The club would like to place on record their thanks to Interim Manager, George Anthony, for his patience, time and dedication during the initial stages of the season.
Women’s Team General Manager, Gemma Sims, spoke with us about the role.
“We are over the moon to have the backing of the club and the board to go out and recruit a full-time Manager, a decision that underlines the importance of the Women’s programme.
“We’ve been working really hard behind the scenes to ensure we make the right appointment, and the ability to offer a full-time position will make that process far easier.
“Not only does it mean that we can attract a higher calibre of applicant, it will also allow the successful candidate to fully focus on the team and developing their style of play.
“This is a huge step forward for us and one that will allow us to continue to battle at the top of the division, help our young side flourish and, hopefully, move us closer to our goal of Championship football.”
