Over the course of the 2022/23 season, Oxford United Women saw a 40.8% rise in their average attendance.
That support played a massive part in the U’s going unbeaten at home for another season and demonstrates the interest in Women’s football in the County.
The highest attendance at Court Place Farm was 526 against Crawley Wasps in March, when Carly Johns and Daisy McLachlan both scored hat-tricks in a 6-1 win.
General Manager Gemma Sims told us
“It was a fantastic season at Court Place Farm that has shown the potential for growth. We’ve got more people in the building and it helps that Liam Gilbert and the team were able to put on such a show.
“It’s been great to see so many new faces come through the door and then come back; we always say once you’ve got people here to the incredible environment we’ve created, they’ll get hooked.
“We need that even more next year, and we’re already starting to plan for next year to get more of the local community involved. It really is unprecedented how much it means to the players to see that support and see their impact on the young girls and boys they are inspiring.
“Thank you for your incredible support this season. Tell your friends, tell your neighbours, tell everyone you know! We’re so excited to see you next year at Court Place Farm.
