Oxford United U18s travel to Manchester City tonight in a historic FA Youth Cup Quarter Final, the first in the club’s history.
Kick off is at 7PM at the Manchester City Academy Stadium. The game will be available to watch live via the FA Player for those who cannot make the journey to Manchester.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for the boys to test themselves against a side that sit top of the U18 Premier League North and boast some of the best talent in the country.
That won’t phase the group though, who have already knocked out Cardiff and Leeds United at the Kassam Stadium to get to this stage.
Midfielder Tobias Brenan told us about the belief in the squad
“They’ll be a good team but all the boys are up for it so we should give them a good challenge. We want to show what we are made of and how good we are as well.
“As long as we go into the game with self-belief, believe in and implement the game plan then we definitely have a chance. We’ve made history and we know the club are behind us so we just want to do everyone proud.”
The winner of the tie will go on to face Arsenal at The Emirates in the Semi Final.
Get behind the boys tonight as they look to make even more history for themselves and Oxford United.
