Oxford United Women face Championship high-flyers Bristol City Women in the Fourth Round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup this Sunday, the 29th of January.
Tickets cost £8 for Adults, £6 for Over 65s and Under 22s, and £1 for Under 19s, and can be bought online HERE
It should be a great game, as both sides are challenging for promotion in their respective divisions; the Robins currently sit second in the Barclay’s Women’s Championship with a game in hand on the league leaders.
United have been excellent in the WFA Cup this year, scoring 22 and only conceding once. They now look to test themselves against a side flying in the League above, which their unbeaten start to the campaign leaves them closing down on.
Goalkeeper Rose Kite told us:
“It’s going to be a massive test and I know the girls are really up for it. We’ve shown in the season so far that we deserve to be in that League, it’s a big test but it also gives us the chance to show what we’re about.
“We’ve trained really hard, and everything’s been high in the dressing room and out on the pitch. From the first session back we’ve all been on the same page and we knew it was going to be a good season.
“We do it because we love it and we’ll all show it on the pitch and leave our hearts out there and do what we can to get what we deserve and hopefully come back with a win.
Manager Liam Gilbert said
“Bristol are a very good side but it’s a challenge that we’ve all been really excited for ever since the draw was done. We know where we want to be as a club, as players and as coaching staff and this game will provide us the chance to show us we can compete at that level.
“It’ll be great to see some of the travelling Yellows in Bristol and as long as we continue to prepare right and apply ourselves correctly on the day, which I know the squad will do, then we’ll show a good account of ourselves.
Come along and show your support to help the U's attempt to make it to the Fifth Round.
