PREVIEW MK Dons v Oxford United

Oxford United travel to MK Dons on Saturday in Sky Bet League 1 (3pm)

TEAM NEWS
United are likely to be without Cameron Brannagan who is still recovering from a hip injury and Billy Bodin who tweaked a hamstring in the game against Shrewsbury at the weekend. Midfielder Brannagan continues to make good progress but the trip to Stadium MK comes too early in his rehab while Bodin could be available as early as Tuesday night when the U's welcome Plymouth Argyle to the Kassam Stadium.

James Henry and Sam Baldock are both close to a return and with Marcus Browne due to return to training this week it would leave just Alex Gorrin unavailable from the long-term injuries.

Sam Long stands by to make his 200th appearance for the club

THE OPPOSITION
Boss Mark Jackson expects the U’s to take the game to his Dons side on Saturday

“We know certain teams sit back against us but I don't think Oxford will do that,” she said. “They're a really attacking team and pose a real threat going forwards, attack from wide areas with their full-backs joining in, so we'll really have to be on our game.

“But we'll need to take it to them too, we're at home so we want to be on the front foot, and dominate the ball as much as we can. I expect both teams to want to play the game in the right way.

“I know a lot about Karl and his experience within the game. I know they've not been on a great run but I've watched a lot of their games, and they're dangerous. As we've seen, you can have good performances but sometimes results don't go your way.

“But they will cause us problems on Saturday and we have to be prepared for that, and against a really experienced manager in the Football League, so I'll need to be on my game as well to combat that.”

MINUTE'S  SILENCE
A minute’s silence will take place prior to kick-off as both clubs unite and remember those impacted by this week’s events in Turkey and Syria.

On Monday morning, a devastating earthquake hit Turkey and Syria killing thousands and injuring many more.
The minute’s silence take place just prior to kick-off and will begin and end on the referee’s whistle.
