Oxford United are delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Benson as the club’s new Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer.
Adam has a proven track record in professional sport having previously been Commercial Director at Reading including their time in the Premier League. He has since been Chief Commercial Officer at Gloucester Rugby and most recently at Wasps
CEO Tim Williams welcomes Adam, saying:
“This is a key appointment, one we need to get right not just for the club right now but for the future and hopefully with a new stadium on the horizon. Adam has a fantastic CV but also an outstanding reputation within football and across the sporting world. He will head up the commercial side of the club including the marketing and digital side of things as well as hospitality and fan engagement.
“With Stevie Kinniburgh already having a positive effect as our new Head of Academy and now Adam in place we believe we are strengthening our backroom team and infrastructure all the time and we look forward to working with him.”
Adam said:
“I was hugely impressed by the ambitious plans the owners and Board have for Oxford United. This, alongside the opportunity to work on the new stadium project, makes it a really exciting time to join the club.”
