Oxford United winger Tyler Goodrham’s early season form has led to a call up for the Republic of Ireland Under 21 squad.
Tyler has already scored three times and has been part of United’s excellent start to the League 1 campaign and will link up with the Republic squad for the first time for their games at home to Turkey and San Marino.
The 20-year-old qualifies via his paternal grandparents and told us:
“It’s a proud day for my family. The first month of the season has gone really well for the whole club and I’m glad to have played a part. It will be a fantastic experience and I’m really looking forward to linking up with the squad.”
With Ciaron Brown called up by Northern Ireland and Fin Stevens part of the Wales Under 21 squad United’s Sky Bet League 1 game at Lincoln City on September 9th has been postponed.
