Our Guard of Honour tonight when we welcome Cheltenham Town to the Kassam Stadium will be Abingdon United U12
Abingdon United under 12 currently play in the Oxfordshire Youth Football C League and are managed and coached by Adam French and Sunil Nair.
Adam and Sunil have been leading the team from the very beginning, when the team first started in the G League under 8s 2018/2019 season. They have steadily progressed to C League where they are currently 2nd in the table, with eight of the players being there from the very start.
Adam said
“They are a fantastic, enthusiastic and hard working team that love to play football together, having fun and supporting one another. Together this group of players have raised a vast amount of money for local charities, including the NHS and Helen Douglas House, which they are very proud of.
“They continue to push themselves, and improve with each game they play, and are looking forward to playing as a team for a long time to come.
