Djavan Anderson Joins Oxford United

Oxford United are delighted to announce that Djavan Anderson has agreed to sign for the club, on a one-year deal with the option of a further year, subject to a work permit being granted.

The Dutch wing-back, 27, started his career with Ajax and is a Dutch under 18 international. He joined Lazio in 2018 and has enjoyed loan spells at three Italian clubs as well as making nine appearances for his parent club.

Karl Robinson told us

“It’s an exciting signing- I can’t imagine Oxford have signed too many players who were on the bench for Lazio the night before! He is very fast, he covers us as a wing-back, in midfield or as a winger which gives us flexibility and we look forward to working with him”.

Djavan will now await the paperwork being finalised but he told us.

“I hope that goes through as quickly as possible. I haven’t played as many games as I wanted to in the last few years and I just want to get started now. The Manager spoke with such passion about Oxford and the plans for the club and I know they style he likes to play which I think will suit how I like to play the game.”
