Oxford United head for Oxford City on Saturday for their opening pre-season fixture of 2022 (6.30pm).
The U's return from a Training Camp in Spain for the traditional curtain-raiser between the two sides. Karl Robinson told us
"There's a great relationship between the two clubs and there are a lot of good people at City who we look forward to seeing again. I am sure our fans will be there in numbers and have been missing their football so it's one we are really looking forward to.
"We came away from Spain with no real injury worries so the whole squad is available but we just have to be sensible on the artificial pitch at this stage
"Ideally everyone gets 45 minutes, the game is played the right way, and that will set us up nicely for another week of hard work on the Training Ground".
Ben Davis, who was not on the Spain trip due to his international commitments for Thailand this summer, wil be part of the squad on Saturday
Please note that the game will kick off at 6.30pm.
The two clubs are delighted to be led out tomorrow by Zach Lewis, and we know fans of both clubs will make Zach very aware of the special place his dad still has in all of our hearts.
The U's will be walking out in a pre-season kit for the fixture as final preparations for the official kit launch are made. The brand new official 2022/23 Macron home kit will be revealed in the next fortnight, which will formally see the start of a brand new era with the club's new Technical Kit Partner.
Following their use, the pre season kits will be available to supporters across a wide variety of competitions and promotions, keep your eye on OUFC.co.uk for full details in the coming weeks.
