Oxford United look to start the new year with a win when they welcome Exeter City to the Kassam Stadium on New Year's Day (3pm)
TEAM NEWS
United could have Simon Eastwood available after a calf injury although Ed McGinty made a vital save in the win over Charlton in midweek. Youngster Kie Plumley was on the bench for that game as goalkeeping cover but Eastwood will be keen to reclaim the starting position.
There were one or two knocks and bruises after Thursday's game and Marcus Browne will miss out after picking up a hamstring injury at Ipswich but Kyle Joseph and Sam Baldock are back on the training pitches and stepping up their recovery.
THE OPPOSITION
Exeter enjoyed a dramatic 4-3 win against Bristol Rovers this week and will want to overturn the last two meetings when United have beaten them twice this season.
"Every game in this league is difficult so going into the game with a win and a draw, we've got to go there and implement our game," midfielder Archie Collins told the official Exeter website
"When we turn up and do our thing we're as good as anyone, we've already shown that so we've got to keep believing in ourselves. Football is always about on the day - we forget about the last two games against them."
