Oxford United are boosted ahead of the trip to Accrington on Saturday by the return of wingers Yanic Wildschut and Josh Murphy.
The pair have been sidelined for much of the season so far through injuries but have trained all week and could be involved as the U’s look to extend their eight game unbeaten run.
“They are both in the squad and we will see how that falls” Karl Robinson told iFollow earlier today. “The January Window is a month away but for us it has opened.
“They have both been so unlucky. With Yanic it was his first game for us, the last game in pre-season and for a short while in that game we had him, Josh and Marcus Browne playing just behind Matty Taylor. That was an explosive combination and looked really dangerous, but sadly for much too short a time.
“Accrington is a tough place to go and it’s a difficult time of year for fans, travelling up and down the country. There is a lot of financial outlay and our fans have to go to Accrington, Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich away in December. We are thankful to them and know they will support us at all those places.
“We owe them a positive performance and if we can do that on Saturday it sets us up really well for the month ahead.”
