Oxford United Women can confirm that Erin Hartigan will be stepping up from the Development Squad into the First Team for the new season.
Erin has come through the RTC, and her hard work and performances have impressed the coaching staff. Hartigan also featured in the 4-0 victory over Spurs U21s this week.
The young striker will follow in the footsteps of other Academy graduates such as Carly Johns, Billie French and Libby Gilmore.
On the step up Erin said
“It’s really exciting, I’ve been here a while in the Academy and seen the excellent season that the girls had last year. I can’t wait to get involved and help in any way possible to get the promotion that this side deserves.
“I’ve seen other girls progress from the academy into the first team and it’s been a real inspiration. On a personal note, I feel fit and ready after a tough pre-season and I’m just raring to go and prove my worth in such a strong team.”
United Women play Arsenal in another pre-season friendly at Court Place Farm on Wednesday 10th August, before their season starts on the 21st of August at home to Bridgwater United.
