Our Guard of Honour on Saturday are Quarry Rovers FC.
Based at Margaret Road, their first aim is for all players to enjoy their football In return they ask that they share the Quarry values of personal commitment to develop good technical skills and fitness, do the best for their team and always show good sportsmanship.
They are proud to be an FA Charter Standard club and strive to apply high standards in all aspects of football, care and behaviour. They aim to offer an excellent experience of learning and playing football for young people of all ages up to 18.
At present they have 15 teams across all age groups with well over 200 players and are proud to say this includes the most girls teams in their history, thanks to the committee’s support and determination to develop this area.
During the majority of their existence they have also been supported by a fellow OUFC sponsor and local business, Luker Bros, who have been kit sponsors and key supporters during the club’s history.
