Oxford United are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Telesales Intern to join the club’s commercial team.

 The main responsibilities will include generating interest and revenue for our successful Women’s Team via a host of commercial packages that are available. Candidates will need to be tenacious, flexible, and driven to succeed in this commission-based role.

Job Description

Post Title: Commercial Telesales Intern – Initial Six-Month Contract

Telesales Intern Responsibilities 

  • Successful candidates will demonstrate a desire for commercial sales
  • Conduct outbound sales calls to data provided (B2B)
  • Lead the follow-up process for any marketing campaigns/activity
  • Meet and exceed KPI targets e.g., number of calls per day, number of sales generated
  • Effective communication with customers to identify their requirements
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Professional telephone manner with calls carried out promptly and politely
  • Meet personal/team targets and sales quotas
  • All data handled and completed to expected standards and in line with CRM business needs
  • Ensure that department procedures and policies are always adhered to
  • Ensure all relevant contact management systems are updated and accurate
  • The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships

Telesales Intern Requirements

  • Proven sales experience in a B2B role or similar
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft office or similar packages
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound personal qualities such as communication skills, teamwork, self-motivation, enthusiasm, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Ability to manage and implement administration processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A practical approach to problem solving
  • A commitment to driving forwards continuous improvement
  • A polite and professional manner
  • Exemplary organisational and planning skills
  • A commitment to self-improvement and a desire to enhance the department’s operations

  • Ensure working practices are compliant with relevant legislation and data protection legislation and/or general data protection regulations (GDPR) requirements.
  • Full and clean driving licence
  • Role will be based in Oxford, with evening, weekend, and ‘unsociable’ hours likely
