Oxford United have completed the loan signing of forward Elliot Lee who joins the U’s from Luton Town until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old came through the youth system at West Ham United and after a string of loans as a youngster moved on to first Barnsley and then Luton where he has made close to 100 appearances and helped the Hatters to promotion from League 2 and then to the Championship.
Elliot became United’s second Deadline Day signing after Joe Grayson joined on loan from Blackburn earlier in the day.
“He’s a clever player” Karl Robinson told us. “He can play up front or just behind the striker, he works hard and makes good things happen around the penalty box. He has obviously won promotion at Luton so he knows what it takes to be successful at this level and we think he will play a mayor role for us in the second half of the season.”
Elliot said
“I’ve always enjoyed playing against Karl Robinson’s teams because they always play good football and I think the way they are set up will really suit how I like to play as well. I look at the facilities here and the players in the squad and I think everything is set up for a real push from now until the end of the season and I can’t wait to be a part of that.”
Elliott will be number 27 in the United squad. If you would like to sponsor him, home or away, then contact commercial@oufc.co.uk or call 01865 337513
