REPORT Sutton United U18 0 Oxford United U18 1

Oxford United under 18s continued their unbeaten start to the season with a Clinton Nosakhare goal helping them to a 1-0 win at Sutton United in the League Cup on Friday.

Coach Darren Purse told us

“It was a really physical game, which was great from our point of view to see the lads in a demanding game like that, especially after a lot of them played Huddersfield three days earlier. We played well and I thought we definitely deserved the win. We maybe didn’t get on the ball quite as much as we like to but you have to find ways of winning football matches and we did that in the end.

“Clint, one of our centre halves, did well to head home the goal and we created chances from open play so there were lots of positives beyond just winning the game.”

United
