Retail Update

The new Lockdown regulations will affect many areas of the football club but one of the hardest hit will be the retail side of the club.

Usually the Club Shop would be busy in the build up to Christmas, but this year will be very different and as Lee Barton, head of retail and ticketing at the club, told us, fans can help the U’s by switching their shopping to our online outlets in the build up to the festive period.

“Experience tells us supporters do their Christmas shopping around November and December match days” Lee said . “Over a quarter of the annual revenue retail generates for the club comes from in-store sales during the festive months.

“We urge supporters who want to help the club to change their habits this year if they can and purchase online. We’ve worked tirelessly to deliver the best range of retail choice we’ve ever stocked. Our relationship with our kit supplier PUMA has gone from strength to strength, now being able to offer some fantastic PUMA leisure lines on top of the always excellent replica and training kit.

“ Over the coming weeks there will be be a number of different promotions and opportunities for supporters to engage with the retail department, albeit these engagements will take place online this year. They are just as important in generating the key revenue for our football club.”

With the new lockdown rules in place the Club Shop will be open for Click and Collect order collections Monday and Friday 10:00-17:00 while www.oufcshop.co.uk continues to operate 24/7 with postal orders dispatched daily

A number of fans have mentioned they will miss the personal way that our friendly club shop staff can help so remember that the phone lines (01865 747231) will be in operation Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 13:00-17:00 where orders can be placed over the telephone for either delivery or collection ,or supporters can get in touch with any retail queries by completing an online customer enquiry HERE
