Oxford United are proud to announce that a new, limited edition, home replica shirt is now available with an extra special touch.
We wanted to show our support for our local NHS charity but also find a way to raise funds, so we worked closely with the NHS and from today fans can order a special version of the home kit with all profits from the shirts going to the Oxford Hospitals Charity.
The yellow shirts feature the NHS Hospitals logo and will be individually numbered, meaning you will own a unique piece of U’s memorabilia.
Shirts are priced at £50 each and are in limited supply, so act fast if you want to stand out from the crowd and show your support to the wonderful NHS professionals who are going above and beyond for the nation.
As a special thank you we will be giving 25 shirts to U’s supporters who have been working tirelessly for the NHS since the outbreak of the pandemic - we thanked them on social media but the players asked for a chance to meet them and thank them in person for their hard work, so we will be inviting them to our first game when fans are allowed back:
Chairman Sumrith 'Tiger' Thanakarnjanasuth said
“I am so proud of the way the club has helped the community in Oxfordshire - masks, phone calls, volunteering and so many activities which have just shown how close we are to the fans and what we mean to so many people in Oxford. We asked the NHS how we could help further and the best way to do that is to raise money for the Oxford Hospitals Charity so we will proudly add their name next to our badge and we hope fans like the idea as much as we do”.
Shirts are now available online from oufcshop.co.uk – the Club Shop at the stadium will remain closed until lockdown restrictions have been lifted. Please note that shirt sizes are very limited- they are primarily a fundraiser, collectable edition rather than for casual wear.
You can find out more about the charity right here: https://www.hospitalcharity.co.uk/
We ask for a little patience with delivery of the shirts. They will be dispatched as quickly as possible but this could take up to four weeks from point of purchase.
