Oxford United will experience two new forms of technology for the first time when we take on Newcastle United in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.
Not only will the officials have access to goal line technology but the game will also be referred to VAR if necessary.
It’s the first time that VAR has been used for an Oxford United game and boss Karl Robinson told us
“It’s part of the modern game and it will be an interesting experience. I thought I’d love it before it was introduced but I need to be involved in a game where it is in use before I can really comment on it. And if I comment on VAR on Saturday then hopefully it’s because it has been a very close game…”
See Karl’s full pre-match interview in iFollow right now with the Preview Show to follow tomorrow.
Over 3,500 fans are following the U’s on Saturday. Be part of it.
