U's Get Green Light For Training Return

Oxford United took the first steps back towards pre-season yesterday with the first team squad reporting to the Training Ground for a new round of Covid testing ahead of a full return to training on Wednesday.

After a four week break the players were relaxed and in good spirits as they reported and took their tests in small groups before a gruelling first Maximum Velocity test, running hard in the baking sun at the Oxford Sports Park.

“The first good news is that all the tests came back negative” Karl Robinson told us. “That means we can start again and train fully from Wednesday when we will hopefully be going away for a few days.

"We will test regularly and a lot of work has gone into making sure we are in a safe environment at all times. It was good to see everybody and we can't wait to get started again now.”
