Oxford United head for Wales today for a five day training camp to kick start pre-season.
Four weeks after the end of last season, the U’s head for South Wales for five days of testing, training and team bonding before returning to Oxford next week to prepare for a series of pre-season friendlies.
One man missing from the training camp will be midfielder George Thorne who has left the club by mutual consent.
George was on a short-term contract after joining from Derby but will now look for a new adventure, as he told us:
“I’ve loved my time with Oxford. It’s a good club and the Gaffer and the lads have been brilliant. Obviously it has been frustrating not to play more games but I still think I have something to offer and I’ll explore all the options ahead of the new season. I thank everyone at Oxford and wish the club well for the future.”
The U’s are almost ready for the new season. Are you? Season Tickets are available right now from oufctickets.co.uk or by calling 01865 337533
