Oxford United Women are delighted to announce Oxfordshire Community Foundation as back of shirt sponsors for the 2019/20 season.
Oxfordshire Community Foundation (OCF) is a local charity based in the centre of Oxford that brings together organisations and people to improve the lives of the most disadvantaged in the county. They deal with the real social issues that affect Oxfordshire, in particular homelessness, educational inequality and loneliness. Visit oxfordshire.org for more information.
The back of shirt sponsorship has been kindly donated to OCF by Autotrak, whose owners Michael and Maria Fox are big supporters of both the Football Club and local charitable causes. They told us:
“We are excited to help promote Oxfordshire Community Foundation and when we approached the Women’s team with the idea about putting a local charity on the back of the shirts, the girls suggested OCF. It’s great they have a connection with the charity they are wearing proudly on the pitch and we look forward to working closely with OCF and Oxford United Women throughout the season.”
OCF wants Oxfordshire to be a place where no-one has to sleep rough on our streets and everyone has a place to call home. OCF are working with over 40 organisations to pull together a partnership that will work more effectively to tackle homelessness and are hosting and managing a charitable fund on behalf of all the partners for the receipt of donations. Jayne Woodley, CEO at Oxfordshire Community Foundation says “We are very grateful to Michael and Maria Fox of Autotrak, who have gifted the shirt sponsorship of Oxford United Women’s Football Club to Oxfordshire Community Foundation. We see this sponsorship as a great example of how we can all come together as a community and make a difference. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish the team success for the coming season.”
