Oxford United Women face Crawley Wasps away on Sunday (KO 2pm).
United have enjoyed an unbeaten start in the league so far this season and are ready for a tough test against league leaders Wasps in the FAWNL Southern Premier.
Liam Gilbert’s side began with a 4-0 win over Chichester City before a 4-1 win over Portsmouth on the road last weekend to ensure a strong start to the season.
Forward Emily Allen told us:
“We had a little bit of a stutter with games being postponed here and there but we’ve picked up a bit of momentum and we can’t wait for the next one. It’ll be nice to have some consistent games and we can get into our rhythm a little bit more. With the four goals in both games so far so we are really confident and hopefully we’ll stay unbeaten going into Crawley.”
The Opposition
Crawley enjoyed an unbeaten start to the season but came to an end with a 3-1 loss to Watford – only the side’s second league loss in two-and-a-half-years – but they still top the table with 15 points from six games after winning 1-0 against Keynsham Town last time out.
