PREVIEW Bury v Oxford United

Oxford United head for Bury in the quarter final of the Checkatrade Trophy tonight.

TEAM NEWS
Midfielder Ahmed Kashi will make his  full debut after signing on loan from Troyes last week. The former Charlton schemer made a brief appearance as a substitute in the 2-1 win over Portsmouth on Saturday and is likely to come in as the holding man in midfield.

"Ahmed will start" Karl Robinson told iFollow. "He did well on Saturday when he came on and will play in this game. We will maybe make two or three changes in total. We want to build on the win against Portsmouth but we also have three or four days off after this with no game at the weekend so we can focus entirely on this match, give it our all and hopefully get through.

"Bury are in good form though and I worked with their Manager, Ryan Lowe, when he played for me at MK Dons. I know he is a good lad who will do really well. But we know we are just a couple of games away from Wembley now and on Saturday we beat the best team left in the competition, Portsmouth, so we go to Bury in good shape and looking to make progress.

THE OPPOSITION
A 2-1 win at Forest Green leaves Bury in second place in League 2 and unbeaten in six matches. That form has seen Manager Lowe linked with the vacant  post at Luton Town, although he was quick to dismiss it after the win at the new Lawn on Saturday

There is a familiar face in the Bury squad in Phil Edwards who has played all of his team's Checkatrade games this season and could come in to face his former club tonight.
