Oxford was truly United tonight with all of the Academy teams from Under 9s right through to the Under 23s coming along to Court Place Farm to see the first team train and then have a chat and meet everyone.
They were joined by Community staff, the backroom team and Managing Director Niall McWilliams for the key moment; a fantastic aerial view of the entire club playing staff and coaches from all the age groups which capped a very good evening as Karl Robinson told us:
“We wanted to train a bit later and then travel up to Bury early evening to beat the traffic ahead of tomorrow’s game, so we came down to where the Academy trains all the time and we thought it would be a good idea to get everyone together and show how we are all doing our best and all playing for the same club.
“The Academy has so many exciting players and the coaches do a fantastic job, but it was also nice to see so many mums, dads and family here because they are the ones who offer their sons all the support
“It’s something we are keen to build even further and make everyone aware of the whole club moving forward together.”
