Women Face Chichester On Sunday

Sunday afternoon sees Oxford United Women return to Court Place Farm to take on Chichester City Ladies in the Women’s National League.

United go into the game off the back of two free weekends as both of their last two fixtures away from home fell foul of the weather. They will look forward to being back at Court Place Farm again, their last league run-out seeing them run rampant in the second half beating QPR 7-1 and will hope to continue the good form that sees them unbeaten in four months in the league.

Sunday will certainly be a test for United though. Chichester, who themselves had last weekend’s game against Coventry United postponed, currently sit top of the league having not lost a league game since November.

The two sides met back on the opening day of the season with Chichester running out 2-1 winners that day. The game ended in controversy as United looked to have been awarded a last minute penalty before the referee changed his mind and City were able to see the remaining seconds of the game out.
