Oxford United, alongside our sponsors Singha Beer and J’s Sports Bar are pleased to announce a new partnership which we hope will significantly improve the matchday experience for fans.
J’s join The Ridge Bar and Grill as another venue on the Ozone Leisure Park who are partnering with the club and offering benefits to U’s fans.
As part of the partnership, J’s now stock bottled Singha Beer and are working with the sponsors and club on branding the bar with U’s memorabilia and a matchday ‘Singha Bottle Bar’.
Fans will also notice J’s Sports Bar adverts on the scoreboard and crowd facing boards at the stadium, and J’s will reciprocate by advertising forthcoming home matches.
Thanks to J’s and Singha Beer, 50p from the sale of every bottle of Singha sold in the bar will be given back to the club as revenue.
Speaking of the launch, Matt Everett, Commercial & Marketing Director said
“I know from speaking to fans and from being a season ticket holder myself that since The Priory closed, there has been a big hole in the matchday enjoyment for many fans. We’ve been working hard with Salli from J’s Sports Bar, Singha Beer, and speaking with fans to try to change that.
"Whilst we as a club will help with promotion and support of this partnership, ultimately, we want this to be fan led as well. Salli has been fantastic in listening to fans who are already regulars, and I would also like to thank Singha Beer for their support of this. Over time, we see the partnership growing and this venue becoming a de facto Supporters Club type venue, the type of which is sorely missing at the stadium.”
Salli Merola, owner of J’s Sports Bar added
“We have been open just over a year now, and we already get a lot of fans through our doors. We’ve been speaking with fans, the club, and now Singha Beer for some time now and are excited to work together with fans and the club to make a venue that Oxford fans can enjoy on matchdays and non matchdays alike. Please do pop in and see us, and see for yourself.”
J’s is located above Frankie & Benny’s on the Ozone complex, and features big screen TVs for all live sport as well as pool, snooker and darts.
The partnership officially launches this Saturday ahead of the Sunderland match, so why not pop in and see for yourself.
