Oxford United revved up for a big evening next week when players and staff visited Racehut yesterday to set the pace for a Business Members event to be held at Racehut, on Pony Road, on Thursday evening.
A players team of Curtis Nelson, Sam Long, Jack Stevens and Samir Carruthers took on the club’s Commercial team is a fiercely contested race which set the time to beat for the 30 businesses who will be coming along to next week’s event from across the Oxfordshire business network.
Matt Everett, Head of Commercial and Marketing, told us,
“It was good fun and we were totally outclassed by the players as we kind of expected. It turns out Rosie isn’t the only one on the commercial team who can’t take corners! But we still set a competitive time, I think, and it will be interesting to see which of our commercial partners can match us, and to see if anyone can get close to the time the players set.
“Our thanks to Racehut who are big supporters of the club; their 16 car racetrack simulator is an unbelievable experience and highly recommended, and we look forward to seeing all of our business partners there next Thursday for what should be a great evening.
