Oxford United Women face Plymouth Argyle Ladies at Court Place Farm for the second time in three weeks on Sunday (14:00 KO) in National League action.

Immy Lancaster continues rehabilitation from injury whilst the rest of the team report fit and well. Manager Liam Gilbert told us:
“Last week’s game, where we won in the last minute, showed the heart and character that we have within the squad to come back with 25 minutes left and score three goals. To come back the way we did and to see the game out the way that we did shows the potential that we have.”

It’s not just Oxford who have seen some big scorelines recently; Argyle’s last game saw nine goals in a 4-5 loss to Watford. Additionally, the high-scoring win against United came after other huge victories, seen most significantly in the 8-0 away battering at Feniton Ladies. Whilst Plymouth have only lost once in their last five, the fact that it has come in their most recent game provides United with the opportunity to add to Argyle’s recent downturn in form.
Plymouth’s One to Watch: Helen Bleazard
Helen Bleazard has amassed 43 appearances for Wales in her 15-year playing career. Having also represented Chelsea Ladies over this period, when re-joining Yeovil in 2013 the club’s chairman David Mills hailed Bleazard as “the best female player the town of Yeovil has ever produced.” After receiving such high praise, the midfielder represented her hometown club for 5 years and moved to Plymouth in 2018. This season, Bleazard has scored 6 goals in 13 appearances.
