Oxford United have two massive home games in a row coming up with Walsall visiting Grenoble Road next Saturday and then the sold out Carabao Cup third round tie against Champions Manchester City.
We want as many fans as possible to come along on Saturday and get behind Karl Robinson and his side against the Saddlers as the U’s look to put points on the board in Sky Bet League 1. Tickets are available from oufctickets.co.uk 24/7 and from the ticket office (01865 337533) from 9.30 on Monday.
And then when the Yellows take on the Carabao Cup holders the following Tuesday we want to turn the stadium in to a Sea of Yellow.
All tickets have been sold, which means over 10,000 home fans and a fantastic atmosphere where we will outnumber the away fans by almost 10:1. We want every Oxford fan to pull on their yellow shirt, dig out their scarves and hats and wear something yellow to the game. While the match is not being broadcast in the UK it IS being shown live around the world and as Chairman Sumrith 'Tiger' Thanakarnjanasuth, it is a chance to show the U’s in a fantastic light:
“I was watching the game at Wycombe yesterday” he told us “ and the fans were magnificent. They turned the away end yellow with their shirts and banners, and I want the same thing to happen when we play Manchester City. Walsall is our focus this week but I want to ask everyone to wear yellow for the cup game and really enjoy what will be a great night for our football club.
“The new home shirt is already our biggest selling shirt ever but it doesn’t matter if you have an older one that night; anything that adds to the spectacle and shows how proud you are of Oxford United will be great.”
If you are looking for a new Oxford shirt, or a scarf for the night then oufcshop.co.uk is the place to go…
