Oxford United’s under 18s are in FA Youth Cup action tonight (Wednesday) when they welcome Barnet to Court Place Farm.
The young U’s were highly impressive in winning away at Hemel Hempstead Town in the previous round and now welcome the Bees, with a trip to Burnley awaiting the winners. Defender Freddie Niblett missed the last game through suspension but is available again while striker Fabio Lopes made his return from injury in Saturday’s 5-0 win at Forest Green Rovers.
Coach Leon Blackmore-Such told us
“We’re really looking forward to it. We were very professional over at Hemel last time and have been in pretty good form, but it’s the FA Youth Cup; a proper cup tie if you like. It will be a million miles an hour I’m sure and we have to try and make sure that in the middle of all that we do the things we have been doing which have got us top of the league at the moment. Barnet will fancy their chances, I'm sure, so it will hopefully be a good game for people to watch and enjoy."
The game is at Oxford City’s Court Place Farm Ground on Wednesday 14th November, with kick-off 7.30pm
Admission is just £5 for Adults and £3 for Under 18s and Over 65s with turnstiles opening at 6.45pm.
