Could the Northampton matchday magazine be the best ever?
At Oxford United we are very proud of our matchday magazine, but with the edition for tomorrow's match against Northampton Town we feel we've surpassed ourselves. In addition to the usual material, there is so much more to get your teeth into. We have a fascinating interview with Damian Batt, talking about both footballing matters and his extraordinary off-the-pitch activities, as well as a chat with Adam Chapman who reveals the fall-out to his recent encounter with boiling milk. We take you to Jamaica to look at the yellow-and-blue clad Harbour View, and to show that we're eclectic in our tastes, we also discuss the influence that Matt Busby has had on the game.
Ian Lenagan, Chris Wilder and Jake Wright give us their thoughts on recent events, while Colin Harrington, possibly United's fastest-ever player, discusses events of 50 years ago. Fantastic Mr Ox reveals how Northampton destroyed his private life, and guest columnist Emlyn Begley talks about the debt that Irish football has to Oxford United.
You can read all this, and so much more, for just £3 from vendors around the ground, including a free copy of tomorrow's Oxford Mail (while stocks last). As if that wasn't enough to tempt you, tomorrow's magazine also has the next instalment in the image that is now building up nicely on the spine.
Make sure you buy your copy, but if you miss out you can get it, and any back issues, by contacting mbrodetsky@oufc.co.uk or calling Martin Brodetsky on 01865 337523.
