Oxford United Women’s Manager Andy Cook has stepped down from his role and left the U's.
Andy has been in charge of the WSL2 side for the last 18 months but will be moving on to pastures new following the last game of the season- a 4-0 defeat at champions Doncaster Rovers Belles yesterday
“For the last year and half I’ve had the pleasure of working in Oxford with some brilliant people and great players but my time with the club has come to an end. Football seasons always come and go so quickly and the ever changing nature means we all have to move on at some time” he said.
“Thank you to everyone at @OfficialOUWFC & @OUFCOfficial . It’s been an absolute honour to represent the club in the @FAWSL. I hope the club can continue its tradition of giving local players a chance to play at the highest level.
“For me I don’t know what the future brings but I hope to see many of the talented footballers I’ve had the pleasure to work with continue to work hard and continue Oxford’s tradition of developing home grown talent.”
We would like to thank Andy for his efforts and wish him the very best of luck for the future.
