Oxford United defender Canice Carroll will be available for the U’s against Plymouth this weekend after captaining the Republic of Ireland under 19 side against Romania earlier today.
Canice was on the bench for the U’s at Rotherham on Tuesday having received permission to fly out to join his international teammates after the game, missing the first game against Romania earlier that day.
After training with the squad yesterday he was handed the armband for the second game against Romania at the Pinatar Arena in Spain, with Ireland winning 2-1.
He will then fly back this evening to train with the U’s again on Friday ahead of the game against Argyle at Grenoble Road.
