Oxford United boss Karl Robinson looks for his side to keep their excellent form going when they welcome Blackpool on Saturday in Sky Bet League 1.
"We are going well at the moment but I watched Blackppol recently and they were very very good too" he told iFollow today. "They remind me a bit of Shrewsbury with their enthusiasm and endeavour. They are coached well and they are going to be a very difficult team to beat.
“I see the next two games as a benchmark for us because I think the two teams we play are sixth and seventh at the moment; we just played fourth so in a cluster of games we are playing teams at the top of the table and we get to see how we measure up.
"You have to have one eye on where you are, obviously, but we want to win as many games as we can against the teams at the top.
"I think the draw at Peterborough last weekend was fair in the end: Steve will tell you they should have won and I will tell you we should have! But a draw was probably fair on both sides and I think that proves that we have come a long way because they are a side who have had heavy investment and a lot of players come in who make them very competitive.
"We have done well away to them, as we did away at Sunderland. You can point your finger at Barnsley and Portsmouth, but we were in a very different place then and we are in a better place where we sit now and hopefully we can go out and put in another performance that reflects that, and get another three points."
