Oxford United have completed the signing of Derby County midfielder Jamie Hanson for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old former England under 20 international has been with Derby for over ten years and made 25 senior appearances as well as enjoying a loan spell at Wigan Athletic. He joins the U’s on a four-year-deal.
Manager Karl Robinson was pleased to welcome him to the club, saying
“Jamie has been on a lot of clubs radar for a while because he is a very competitive lad who will always give you everything and add a little bit of steel in midfield. He is still young and we believe will continue to improve, so we are really looking forward to having him here and being able to work with him.
“He has a slight injury so won’t be involved on Saturday but will train fully next week and then come into the squad."
Jamie joins fellow new signings Tsun Dai and Ricky Holmes in joining on Deadline Day. See interviews with all of them plus Karl Robinson in iFollow
