United look to push the Latics
Oxford United look to continue their excellent away form as they head for Boundary Park, Oldham, on Tuesday night. The U’s have won seven of their last eight league games on the road and welcome Charlie Raglan back into the squad after the central defender missed Saturday’s win at Peterborough United
“There weren’t any major problems from the weekend but Charlie Raglan trained today and will come back into the fold” First team Coach Derek Fazackerley told Yellow Player HD earlier today. “That’s a good thing for us obviously because we need as many players available right now to give ourselves the best chance between now and the end of the season.”
“I think there are still 33 points to play for, and who knows what the total we need will be” Derek told us. “But while there are points there to be won then we just have to go with the old cliché of taking every game as it comes and see where it takes us. It will be a tough game at Oldham on Tuesday but let’s try and take the three points and then re-assess it from there.”
John Sheridan’s Latics have only lost one of their last seven games and picked up another point with a draw against Bury on Saturday.
“Oldham have been in better form recently” Derek admitted. “They have pulled themselves out of the bottom three or four and it’s always a difficult place for any team. They haven’t had a great pitch to play on since the turn of the year but we have to go into it fully prepared to meet any conditions that are put in front of us and try and get three points out of the game.”
