There were smiles all round last night after Malachi Napa made his senior debut for the U's.
The 18-year-old winger came off the bench to play a big part in United's progress into the next round of the Checkatrade with a 2-1 win at Gillingham, and after the game he told iFollow;
"It's like a dream came true. I have been on the bench but it was great to get on, and to be involved in Alex Mowatt's winning goal was a great moment for me.
"I won't get carried away: a lot of people have helped me get this far and I want to thank Chrissy Allen in particular because he has helped me a lot with the move up from the youth team.
"I really enjoyed it but I know I have to keep working hard and make sure I can stay involved with the first team and make a few more appearances now."
