Oxford United head to Brookes Freshers Fair

Great offers on hand at Brookes' Freshers Fair

Oxford United and Brookes University will be looking to expand their partnership on Friday when the U’s will be talking directly to students at Brookes’ Freshers Fair.

The club already works closely with the University, with several students currently helping within the club in the video analysis and physio departments. Video Analyst Dan Bond and First Team  Sports Scientist  Liam McWhirter are both graduates from Brookes and have also both coached the University’s football team.

Both will be present to talk to new students at the Freshers Fair this Friday, 23rd September, as will members of the club’s Community, Commercial and Communication teams, offering career advice and giving students discounted ticket offers for forthcoming games.
Managing Director Greig Box Turnbull said “We have a very good relationship with Brookes and see this as a fantastic opportunity to expand that still further. Attendances are on the up and we would love to see more students among those numbers. The Freshers Fair is an obvious way to get ourselves in front of them, talk to students directly and offer tickets as well as potential work placements.

“Among the things we are looking to do on the day is find a number of keen, interested students who would like to work with us to explore ways of attracting students to matches. It might suit someone on a marketing or business course, for example, but it is just one way that we are looking to work with Brookes in the future.”

If you are coming to the Freshers Fair then make sure you come and see us to collect some great ticket offers and the opportunity to win a home or away shirt.
